Carolina Power And Light
(Field Inventory)
FDSI performed a field inventory of the Northern Divisions for CP&L.
The source for the field operation was a digitized USGS Quad landbase.
All data needed to describe and map the electrical system was collected
in the field. FDSI started with a drawing of the skeleton of the electrical
system on the landbase. Poles and underground devices were accurately
located. Connectivity of primary circuits and the phasing and wire descriptions
were collected. Similar information was provided for secondary conductors
and services. We also captured extensive descriptions of all primary
equipment and collected the meter numbers. The project was completed
ahead of time and within budget.
Raton Public Service
Company, NM
(Field Inventory and Digitizing)
FDSI performed a field survey of Raton Public Service Company's electrical
system. This survey included tracing connectivity by phase determining
wire size and material and the inventory of all primary devices. All
secondary and services were inventoried and the transformer to meter
connection was provided.
Los Angeles Department Of Water And Power
(Field Inventory and Digitizing)
The contract with LADWP required delivery of two products which are
now being used in a trouble call system by the city. The products were
files of meter and transformer numbers recorded to show the transformer
serving each meter. The second part of the project was digitizing LADWP's
circuits and equipment using MicroStation software.
FDSI compiled 1250 packets for field use. Contents included 30,000 customer
sources and 1.44 million meter address records. Following the inventory
FDSI posted and processed the 1.44 million records for delivery to the
City of Los Angeles.
The LADWP project was enhanced by the excellent source maps and files
supplied by LADWP. The graphics and files were synchronized and the
maps usually carried street addresses. The project was completed ahead
of time and within budget.
Intermountain REA, CO
(Field Inventory & Digitizing)
FDSI completed several contracts with IREA including the conversion
of 1,600 square miles of landbase maps from USGS Quads into AutoCAD
format. We also verified all primary circuits in two divisions and the
subdivision maps in one of these. We have inventoried 3,500 square miles
of the IREA system. The project was completed on time and within budget.
City Of Riverside, CA
(Field Inventory & Digitizing)
FDSI field verified all 89 of the 12kV and 4kV feeders owned and operated
by the City. Each of the 89 circuit maps were digitized in accordance
with the Scott & Scott DPA/G system. The inventory and electric
model included primary connectivity, devices, spacing and loads. The
project was completed on time and within budget.
